First clean
If the machine already smells, run one tablet a week for three weeks. After that, one tablet every two weeks keeps it fresh.
How often
Every two weeks suits a busy household, hard water or a home with pets. If you only wash a few times a week, once a month is enough.
What it will not do
It will not lift old black stains from the door seal, and it does not replace emptying the filter. Wipe the seal and leave the door open after washing.
If something is not right
- The tablet did not dissolve: the cycle was probably too cool. Use the hottest cleaning programme, or 60 to 90 degrees.
- The smell came back: run one tablet a week for three weeks, and check the filter and the detergent drawer.
- There is residue on clothes: run one more cleaning cycle with an empty drum, then a normal wash.
Looking after the machine
- Empty the filter every few months, as your manual says.
- Wipe the door seal dry after the last wash of the day.
- Leave the door and the drawer open so the drum can dry.
